We here at Hammerhead Kennels have admired English Bulldogs
for a long time. From their bold appearance to their human-like
personality, we love everything about this breed.
Olde English Bulldogges are a recreation of the
original English Bulldog from the 19th century.
Unfortunately, the modern English Bulldog suffers from a number of genetic
based health problems. The bulldogs from the early 19th century had little or none of
the health problems associated with the modern English Bulldog.
We wish to produce athletic, muscular, thick-boned dogs with a
distinctively large head. The dogs will be at the large end of
the standard, but definitely recognized as Olde English style bulldogs.
Our dogs retain the fierce vintage appearance of a fighting dog but have
the gentle temperament of the modern English Bulldog making them
an ideal family pet.
